Biennial Conference
IANSD holds a biennial conference in the third week of September, where academic and professional presentations are made on a topical theme determined by the conference organizing committee. The committee also determines the venue of each conference, issues a call for proposals, and oversees all facets of the conference. Conference information is issued in April of the conference year. Please watch out for information about the next conference in 2012.
Adopt-a-University Program
IANSD established the Adopt-a-University program for its members to contribute to research materials in Nigerian universities. Through the program, members subscribe to any number of journals in any number of fields or disciplines, and the journals are mailed directly to the universities designated by the members. The program is a 'modest' way for Nigerians in the Diaspora to "give back" to their country.
Joint Research Program
IANSD established the Joint Research program to encourage and foster collaborative research across international boundaries, disciplines and specializations. Participation in the program is open to members and non-members who express an interest by contacting IANSD.
Mentor Program
IANSD established the Mentor program as a vehicle for interested members anywhere in the world to mentor fellow Nigerians, especially younger and up and coming Nigerians, in any field of endeavor and anywhere in the world.
To express an interest in, or inquire about, any of these programs, please send an e-mail to the Director of Special Projects for IANSD at iansdoffice@gmail.org.
