Guide for Contributors
International Journal of Nigerian Studies and Development is an interdisciplinary journal and is published semi-annually by the International Association of Nigerian Studies and Development. Scholarly articles, especially most recent research on various aspects of the Nigerian or African situations and research-based on topics of general applicability and interest are considered. Articles that deal perceptively with the political, economic and social gestation of Nigeria and other African countries are particularly welcome.
Contributions must be typed in double spacing with wide margins and on one side only of each sheet. Sheets must be numbered, Four clean and clear copies of the manuscript should be submitted accompanied by a diskette and three stamped envelopes (9 1/2 x 12). Three "blind" peer reviews are done on each contribution.
Articles should be preceded by an abstract of between 150 - 250 words, giving a synopsis of the purpose, theoretical framework and results or conclusions. References cited in the text must appear in the list at the end of the article. The list should be typed in double spacing and references numbered sequentially. Original contributions only are considered. Articles being considered for other journals are unacceptable.
Manuscripts should be no more than 7,500 words or 20 pages in length and should conform closely to The Chicago Manual of Style, 14th Edition. There is a publication fee of $45 for each article reviewed and accepted. Authors will receive two complimentary copies of the journal in which their articles appear.

Subscriptions
Subscription to the International Journal of Nigerian Studies and Development for non-Association members is :
- $30.00 per year and $50.00 for two years (including postage).
- Institutional rate is $60 per year.
- A single copy is $18.
- Subscribers outside the USA should please add $8.00 for postage.
- All subscriptions must be paid in U.S. dollars.

Book Reviews
Book reviews are a permanent feature of the International Journal of Nigerian Studies and Development.
The editorial board welcomes reviews of books that deal with various aspects of Nigeria. Of primary need are reviews of books on the political, economic and socio-cultural aspects of Nigeria. Such books must have been published no earlier than 1989.
